From Prison to Purpose: My Story
In 2002, my life stopped on an Indian reservation. Federal police arrested me with more than 50 grams of crack cocaine, ending six years as a traveling drug dealer. I stood before a judge who told me I was facing 25 years to life.
In October 2003, grace stepped in. I was sentenced to five years instead. I didn’t take that mercy lightly.
In 2005, I walked out of prison and straight into a halfway house. There, carrying the weight of regret for the choices that cost me my freedom, I found my purpose: to help others who know that same weight.
In 2024, I founded No Handz Down to bring love, compassion, and real support to men and women inside prison walls and those coming home. I know the road because I’ve walked it.
My past is not my ending. Neither is yours. No handz down, But handz lifted up.

Driven by faith, Angela Sharp Finley tirelessly works to break the cycle of incarceration through education, support, and unwavering belief in redemption. Her passion lies in advocating for systemic change, targeting the root causes of incarceration to prevent it before it starts. She actively collaborates with leaders, organizations, and faith communities to address the complex issues that lead to imprisonment, fostering a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
